BitBudget Buddy

Named Budget Buddy on your device, BitBudget Buddy is a personal budgeting app for iOS and iPadOS 18.6 or later. No account or bank connection is required.
Support
Email support@bitvellum.com with your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version, and a description of the problem. Please omit private financial records and redact amounts or account details from screenshots.
Start your budget
Choose a starting template or create your own categories. Add a paycheck to allocate income across your categories, then record expenses against the category you spent from. Activity shows your transaction history.
Move money between categories
Use Transfer to move money between budget categories. This updates your budget records only; the app does not move funds between bank accounts.
Back up or move your budget
In Settings, choose Export backup and save the JSON file somewhere you control. On another device, choose Restore backup. Restoring replaces that device’s existing budget. Keep a backup before replacing data or deleting the app. There is no automatic sync between devices.
Import a bank export
Settings → Import from CSV lets you select a file and map its columns. Review the import before saving. The app reads the file you choose on your device and never asks for bank credentials.
Manage reminders
Configure reminders in Settings → Reminders. Notifications are optional. If they are not appearing, check the app’s notification permission in your device’s Settings. Notification previews may show reminder text, so choose preview settings that suit your privacy needs.
Budget Buddy privacy policy

Bitvellum does not collect your budget records from this app. Budget Buddy has no accounts, bank integrations, advertising, tracking, developer analytics, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Data stored on your device
Categories, balances, transactions, notes, recurring bills, reminder preferences, earnings settings, and appearance preferences are saved locally on your device. These records are used to display your budget and perform the calculations and reminders you request. The app does not send them to Bitvellum or operate a cloud-sync service.
Files and device backups
CSV files you choose are processed on your device. Exported JSON backups contain your budget information in readable form. You control where you save or share them; a cloud storage provider you choose handles those copies under its own policy. Your device’s Apple backup settings may also include app data. We cannot access or recover these backups.
Optional notifications
With your permission, Budget Buddy schedules local notifications for reminders. Reminder text and budget details may appear in notifications. You can disable reminders in the app or change notification permissions and previews in your device’s Settings.
Support and website visits
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include, solely to respond to and manage your support request. Please do not send your budget backup unless needed and specifically requested. Website hosting may generate standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and request time. See the Bitvellum website privacy policy. Apple may separately provide diagnostics under your device’s analytics-sharing settings.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local budget records remain until you erase or replace them. Settings → Erase everything removes the current budget from the app. Deleting the app also removes its local app data; offloading it may retain that data. Exported files and device backups are separate copies, which you manage with their storage provider. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence; we retain it only as needed to handle support and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. We do not sell your information or use your budget for advertising.
