Help with importing track lists and creating Apple Music playlists.
Contact Bitvellum
For help, email hello@bitvellum.com. Include your macOS version, BitImporter version, and any error message. Please do not send passwords, authorization tokens, or private music files.
What do I need?
A Mac running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, an active Apple Music subscription, and permission for BitImporter to access Apple Music. Intel and Apple silicon Macs are supported.
Create your first playlist
- Choose Connect Apple Music and approve music access.
- Open a .bitplaylist package or a TXT/CSV track list, or paste entries in Artist - Title format or Apple Music song links.
- Enter a playlist name and description. Choose an optional icon.
- Choose Review tracks. Check the recording for each song and skip anything unavailable.
- Choose Create playlist, then open Music to find it in the BitImporter folder.
A song is missing or the match is wrong
Songs must be available in your Apple Music region. Different albums, remasters, live recordings, and editions may appear as separate matches. Choose the intended recording during review. Try a more precise artist and title or a link to the available Apple Music song. BitImporter does not upload FLAC, WAV, or other local audio files.
Music access is denied
Check your Apple Music subscription and the account signed in to Music. In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music, allow BitImporter access, then reconnect in the app.
How do I apply playlist artwork?
Choose Save icon in BitImporter. In Music, edit the playlist artwork, choose the saved image file, and save the change. Artwork is included in .bitplaylist packages, but applying it in Music is a separate step.
Import limits and duplicate protection
Each import supports up to 100 tracks. Playlist packages must be smaller than 10 MB; artwork must be smaller than 5 MB. A local import history helps prevent duplicates. If an import reports an uncertain result, check Music before attempting it again.
What does the AI button do?
Create an AI prompt for import prepares instructions to copy into your preferred AI service. That service can create a .bitplaylist package containing a name, description, track entries, and optional artwork. BitImporter does not send your prompt to an AI service or include an AI subscription.
Purchases and refunds
