Privacy Policy

Bitvellum (“we,” “us,” or “our”) builds small iOS apps including BitSpeed, BitWorm, and BitFocus. This policy explains what information our apps and this website (www.bitvellum.com) collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to all Bitvellum apps unless an app provides its own separate notice.

The short version: we are not in the data business. We collect as little as possible, we do not sell your personal information, and most of our apps work without any account or sign-in.

Information we collect

We have designed our apps to keep data on your device wherever possible. Depending on which app you use, the following may apply:

• Location (BitSpeed). BitSpeed uses your device’s GPS to calculate speed, heading, and trip statistics. This location data is processed on your device in real time to power the display. We do not collect it, store it on our servers, or share it with anyone.
• Game data (BitWorm, BitFocus). Scores, settings, and progress are stored on your device. If you opt into Game Center, leaderboard and achievement data is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, not by us.
• Purchases. In-app purchases and tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred so we can unlock the relevant feature, but we never see your name, card number, or other payment details.
• Advertising. Some of our apps may show ads. Where they do, a third-party advertising provider may collect device identifiers and similar data to deliver and measure ads. On iOS, this only happens with your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, which you can decline or change at any time in Settings.
• Diagnostics. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash and performance reports if you have enabled sharing in your device settings. These cannot be used to identify you.

How we use information

Any information described above is used only to operate and improve our apps — for example, to display your speed, save your high score, unlock a purchase, or fix a crash. We do not use it for profiling and we do not sell it.

Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

Because data such as your location, scores, and settings lives on your device, you remain in control of it. Deleting an app removes its on-device data. Data held by Apple (Game Center, purchases) is governed by Apple’s own retention policies.

Your choices

You can revoke location access in iOS Settings at any time, decline or reset ad tracking via App Tracking Transparency, and delete any app to remove its local data. These controls put you in charge of what each app can access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
